MOMENTUM overview
Weekly Sessions
Starting on June 5, you'll meet in Covington, KY every Wednesday evening from 5:30-8:30 for 10 weeks. You'll work on your business pitch and get an in-depth education on essential topics with experts. Each session includes time for Q&A about your specific business challenges. We'll also introduce you to Aviatra alumni who will share their experiences for inspiration and support. Cohort members typically bring their own dinner with them and eat while they learn.
Mentor Match
During MOMENTUM, you will be custom-matched to a SCORE mentor, who will work with you to create a robust 3-year business plan with financial projections and develop actionable strategies to meet your goals, all of which will prepare you to seek funding.
Pitch Perfect
You'll work with a professional presentation coach to help you confidently talk about your business and participate in the Pitch Competition.
Take Flight
At Flight Night, you'll celebrate with your family and friends at the public graduation. You'll wow 'em with your pitch, the prizes will be announced and streamers will fly!
Prize Time
As a MOMENTUM graduate, you will receive a $500 prize in the form of in-kind services that you need, including legal consultation, marketing strategy, graphic design, efficiency consultation or accounting expertise. The winner of the Pitch Competition will win an additional cash prize, as well as some great PR.

What you'll learn in MOMENTUM
The ten weekly modules dive deep into the essentials of a strong, successful business.
Week 1: (June 5) Intros & Introspection
Intros: We'll start you off with intros and an explanation of the weekly pitch practice. You'll meet the regional SCORE representatives, who will be matching you with a mentor.
Introspection: Next, you'll do some guided introspection about the problems you solve and the customers you serve. This will set the foundation for many of the upcoming modules, including sales, branding and marketing
As with every session, we'll close the evening with a homework assignment for you to think about over the week until the next session.
Week 2: (June 12) Financials: Business Plan & Revenue
Business plan: After your weekly pitch practice and homework review, you'll dig into the specifics of a business plan and financial projections.
Revenue drivers: Next, we'll look at the three levers you can pull to drive higher revenue. We will discuss how you can make profitable adjustments in your own business.
Week 3: (June 19) Financials: Budgeting & Cash Flow Management
Budgets and cash flow: The topics for this week are critical to a successful business: budgeting and managing your cash flow.
SCORE mentor: You will also meet your personal SCORE mentor, who will work with you over the timeframe of the program to create your own 3-year business plan with financial projections.
Week 4: (June 26) Asset Protection & Sales
Asset protection: Our legal and insurance experts will show you how to protect yourself, your business, intellectual property and personal assets. The information is tailored for small businesses, and you can ask questions about your specific situation.
Sales training: The final module provides training in a critical area for every business owner: sales. After all, if you can't sell without feeling nervous or slimy, you won't stay in business. Our expert will help you reframe the sales conversation so you will be more confident and genuine.
Week 5: (July 3) Marketing: Messaging, Branding & PR
Messaging: Before you can effectively develop marketing strategies, you need to know what to say. The messaging module will help you determine the critical points you wish to share with potential customers.
Branding review: Since you already have branding for your business, our experts will help you review it to make sure it conveys the message and vibe you want.
PR: We'll wrap up the session with a module on public relations. Getting free media coverage is invaluable and our expert will share ways to make it happen.
Week 6: (July 10) Marketing: Strategy, Traditional & Digital
Strategy: In this info-packed session, we'll start with an essential overview of marketing strategy and how to apply it to your specific business.
Traditional: Traditional marketing can include everything from flyers and signage to billboards and TV ads. Our expert will help you decide which are right for you and how to use them effectively.
Digital: Social media ads, email newsletters, influencer marketing, blogging--it all falls under the digital marketing umbrella. Our expert will share the ins and outs of each.
Week 7: (July 17) Growth Strategies: Talent Management, Automation
Talent: When you're ready to grow, you need to hire. In this module, taught by several experts, we'll discuss hiring, payroll, and working with outside contractors.
Automation: Even if you can't yet add team members, you can save a lot of time by automating your processes. Our expert will help you get started.
Week 8: (July 24) Growth Strategies: Debt Leverage & Funding
Debt leverage: Many small businesses bootstrap their growth. But there comes a point when you might need outside funding to grow to the next level. Our experts share a different way to think about debt that may open up new options for you.
Funding: Our funding panel, with lenders, investors and grantors, will share the types of funding you can consider and explain how to access it.
Week 9: (July 31) Pitch Training
Pitch training: Our presentation expert will return to help you polish your pitch. You will have ample time to practice your pitch and prepare for the review committee on August 14.
Week 10: (August 7) Practice Week & Industry-Specific Q&A
You'll use this week to practice your pitch so it's ready for the review committee. In addition, you can attend an optional Q&A session with business owners working in your industry.
Pitch Week: (August 14) Private Pitch Review Committee Presentations
We'll give you a timeslot for your pitch to the review committee. You'll be so polished and confident by this week that you will knock 'em dead!
August 29 (tentative date): FLIGHT NIGHT!
The public graduation is the time for your friends and family, along with members of the community, to celebrate you. Your hard work and dedication has given you the knowledge, connections and resources to take your business to new heights of success.
At Flight Night, you'll give your perfectly polished pitch to the audience and receive the details of your in-kind award. The Pitch Contest winner will be announced to great fanfare. The evening is all about you!

Investment for the MOMENTUM program
The investment for MOMENTUM is $995 when paid all at once. We also offer a 4-month payment plan of $275 per month automatically deducted for 4 months.
In addition, we are offering one full scholarship, sponsored by Lisa Woodruff from Organize 365, one of our generous successful alumni.

Criteria to apply
We find that MOMENTUM works best for women who have been in business from 1-5 years and have an approximate total revenue of at least $50,000 (to clarify: this is not annual revenue, it's total revenue over the life of your business). This is to ensure that you will be at the same general level as the other members of the cohort.
