with others.

In this free workshop, you'll learn how to set up a side business in 7 days. You'll get a helpful workbook and can ask as many questions as you'd like. We'll brainstorm ways to bring your idea to life asap.

Soar Workshops

Each month, we offer two workshops designed around topics relevant to women in business. You're invited to join us for any or all of them. They each include time for networking, as well as Q&A with the presenters.

What other resources are available?

We are lucky to live in a region where entrepreneurs are supported by many helpful organizations. We've included several of these partners and resources below.

Front Doors to Entrepreneurship

There are three places to start, depending on where you live or want your business to be located:

Business Coaching

It's very helpful to talk to small business experts when you're thinking about starting a business. Here are some great organizations that provide free help:

  • SCORE: When you apply for a SCORE mentor, you'll be matched with a retired business expert who can help you figure out your next steps. They serve Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, as well as the Dayton area.

  • SBDC: When you get started, Small Business Development Center mentors can give you expert assistance, especially with budgets and forecasting.

  • Women's Business Center: The leaders at the WBC can answer your questions and connect you with valuable resources.

Alumni Advice: Fighting Fear

“Don’t let fear stop you. Action is the antidote to fear. Taking the first step builds confidence, so take that step toward your goal and then just keep walking.”
